Cross-domain tracking

If your ads land on yoursite.com and people sign up on app.yoursite.io, cookies cannot follow them. Pingado passes the visitor across instead.

  1. Add a tracking domain for each domain, such as p.yoursite.com and p.yoursite.io.
  2. Add both domains to the snippet on both sites:

When a visitor clicks a link to your other domain, Pingado adds a short-lived _pgl parameter to it. The other domain reads it, sets the same visitor ID and ad cookies, and removes it from the address bar. A link older than two minutes is ignored, so a shared or bookmarked URL never merges two people.
